A thought

I think the number of people in New Zealand whom I've heard say they don't like winter has a direct correlation to the number of crappy houses I've seen / been to in New Zealand.

And by "crappy" I don't mean ugly. In fact, it's got almost nothing to do with design at all.

By crappy I mean houses that lack ventilation, insulation and heat recovery.

Winter isn't half bad when it's warm inside.

  2. I agree, even with our '80's house with insulation in ceiling and walls it gets cold, I suspect double glazing which is standard in Europe would make a huge difference.
